Information is a key resource; Fife Council owns, and uses, vast amounts of information about its service users, suppliers and all of the many individuals and organisations that live, work or have an interest in Fife.
Information is a valuable resource; we use information in everything that we do, in our front-line services, our service planning and in our continuing quest for performance improvement. It enables us to co-ordinate the delivery of our services and ensures that we provide best value for our stakeholders. Managing our information effectively is a central component of effective service delivery.
The Council's Information Management Strategy 2012 - 2014 is linked to this page as a publication and sets out the Council's approach to managing all of its information:
‘Our vision is a Council where accurate and reliable information is readily available to support service delivery and policy making; where employees understand the importance of good information management and where partners and the public have confidence that information is held and processed securely’.
The menus on the left provide guidance on how to access the information held by the Council.
